About This Facility
Located within the Happy Island Tourist Resort in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, and roughly an hour's drive from Xiamen International Airport, the base boasts 33 natural‑grass pitches, including 23 full‑sized 11‑a‑side regulation fields and 10 dedicated 5‑a‑side outdoor training courts. Complemented by a comprehensive indoor sports hall, an orthopaedic sports medicine centre, and athlete residences, the facility is designed to set the benchmark for world‑class football training in Asia.

Since its opening in August 2021, the Happy Island Base has hosted training camps for national teams including the U17, U18, and U23 Chinese women's national football teams, as well as Women's Super League clubs such as Changchun, Beijing, Shandong, and Zhejiang, and elite women's football squads from Fujian, Chengdu, Jiangsu, and other regions. At the same time, the base has successfully held the 2021 and 2022 China Football Association Women's Second Division League, which also served as the National Youth Campus Football College Women's Football League. In addition, the base has also hosted the National Women's Football Winter Training Invitational Tournament, the U16 Women's Football Championship, and other national-level events, as well as the 2022 Chinese Football Association Member Association Champions League.
