Suzhou Taihu Football Sports Center is a football facility focused on youth football training and development, combining professional training and competition with rehabilitation and support services. It also serves as a key venue for major sporting events in Suzhou. Established in 2019, the center is located in the central area of Suzhou Taihu National Tourism Resort and is operated and managed by the Suzhou Football Sports Management Center under the Suzhou Municipal Sports Bureau. Its core facilities include nine standard football pitches—8 natural-grass pitches and 1 artificial-turf pitch—along with several indoor and outdoor training areas, a sports rehabilitation center, a fitness center and a turf-maintenance area. Nearby hotels such as the Taihu Marriott, Renaissance and other hotels in the area enable teams to meet their training and competition needs in one place. In terms of location and access, the center sits in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta and is well connected to intercity expressways and the urban expressway network, giving it good driving access to major surrounding cities and airports. By road, it is about 160 km from Hangzhou, or roughly 2 hours under normal traffic conditions; about 110 km from Shanghai, or about 1.5 hours; about 110–120 km from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, or about 1.5 hours; and about 140–150 km from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, or about 1.5–2 hours in smooth traffic, with longer journey times during peak periods. Suzhou itself does not have a civil passenger airport, so teams and visitors typically fly into Sunan Shuofang International Airport or Shanghai Hongqiao or Pudong International Airport. Sunan Shuofang International Airport, generally regarded as the main airport serving Suzhou, is about a 30–40 minute drive from the center. Suzhou Taihu Marriott Hotel
Suzhou Taihu Marriott Hotel is located in Suzhou Taihu National Tourism Resort, adjacent to the Taihu International Conference Center and a golf course. Suzhou Taihu Renaissance Hotel
Suzhou Taihu Renaissance Hotel is adjacent to the Marriott hotel and is also located at No. 6 Shuli Road. It is about 1.1 km from Suzhou Taihu Football Sports Center, making it the closer of the two hotels. Opened in 2017, the hotel draws design inspiration from classical Suzhou gardens and the architectural craftsmanship of the Suzhou Museum, using black, white and gray as its main tones with lake-blue accents, creating a strong resort atmosphere. Guest rooms at the Renaissance start at 45 square meters, and most feature an outdoor balcony with views of Taihu Lake or Yuyang Mountain. Dining is a particular highlight: Wanli Xuan Chinese Restaurant was awarded one diamond in the 2020 and 2021 Black Pearl Restaurant Guides and is based on Suzhou cuisine; there are also Ran Restaurant, Yiting, and the rooftop Wuxing Sky Bar & Restaurant, making four dining venues in total. In terms of recreational facilities, the Renaissance shares four indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, a yoga room and steam and sauna rooms with the Marriott. It also offers an indoor toy experience hall, an outdoor children's playground and more than 5,000 square meters of outdoor activity space, making it suitable for visitors traveling with families or for athletes needing relaxation and recovery.
