About This Facility
Located in Lihu Street, Zengcheng District, beside the scenic Lihu Lake, the Guangzhou National Youth Football Training Base is the only national youth football facility among China's six pilot football vocational colleges to boast a fully independent campus — a recognition granted jointly by the Ministry of Education and the General Administration of Sport. Spanning approximately 270 mu (18 hectares) with around 58,500 square meters of built area and a total investment of roughly RMB 680 million, the base delivers an elite environment purpose-built for player development. Its 14 outdoor pitches — including ten standard 11-a-side fields and four 5-a-side fields, plus a rooftop pitch — are complemented by a grandstand seating nearly 3,000 spectators, 460 on-site dormitory rooms, a 400-meter training track, and a multi-purpose training hall. Dedicated laboratories for physical conditioning, sports rehabilitation, big-data analysis and tactical assessment, together with a "smart pitch" system, round out a facility capable of hosting training, accommodation and competition for up to 800 people at a time. Fully equipped to stage youth tournaments, training camps and coach-development programs sanctioned by FIFA, the AFC and the Chinese Football Association, the base stands as South China's premier home for youth football talent.
